Michael Blumberg founded and edits World Cricket Centre which was launched in Summer 2001.

He founded and edited Club Cricketer-A weekly Newspaper- with John Nagenda and Steve Scowan in April 1983.

In May 1987 with Alastair Symondson he launched and edited Cricket World- a monthly magazine- born from an amalgamation of Club Cricketer and Cricket, the quarterly magazine of the former National Cricket Association(NCA).

In 1996 he founded the magazine's web site which he continued to build and edit until late March 2001.

He is a member of the Cricket Writers Club

Michael Blumberg has played club cricket since the late 1950s. He is currently President and Hon Secretary of Nomads Cricket Club-www.nomadscc.com and is a Vice President of Kensington Cricket Club and Birmingham University CC.

He has played for many wandering cricket clubs including the above two-Stoics, Romany, Cryptics, Pratlers, Maltamaniacs, Jack Frost XI, Pelicans, Cricket Society, Weyfarers, Strongroom, Lord Gnomes XI, Frogs, The Sargent's Men, Gaieties, Privateers, Invalids, London County CC, Cricket World XI(which he founded), Bertie Joel XI, Tom Pugh XI,The Hill.

He has played for the following sedentary league clubs-Northwood CC, Middleton SC, Alderley Edge CC, Roehampton CC, Cobham CC, Oatlands Park CC, Limpsfield CC. and also for HAC and Hudson's Hollywood XI.

He is a member of the Bunburys CC.

He played for the Universities of St Andrews & Birmingham and also the Cranfield Institute of Technology(now a UNI) and for UCL Academicals.

He played for Haileybury & ISC 1st XI but not at Lord's.

He is member of the Haileybury Hermits CC but has 'guested' for the following Cricketer Cup Clubs-Old Cheltonians,Old Whitgiftians,Old Bradfieldians,Radley Rangers(wash out), Stowe Templars, Downside Wanderers

He has played for and is an Honorary member of Thoiry CC (France). He is an Honorary member  of Vienna CC(Austria), he guested with Reg Scarlett for Corfu against the Royal Navy. He was a founder member of Barringtons CC(Portugal) and was a playing member  of Costa del Sol CC(Spain). He has guested for Intellectuals CC(Alicante).

He has played as a guest twice for MCC(Marylebone Cricket Club) and for Hammersmith & Fulham Social Services CC(known as the Welfare Wankers CC).

He has played cricket in England, Scotland, Wales, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Greece(Corfu), Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, Gibraltar, France, Barbados, Malta, Kenya, Uganda and India.

In the 1970s he frequently represented International Paint Company(International Pinchin Johnson) against most of the motor car industry in 20/20 evening matches.

He has played cricket in almost every English county except Cumberland, Northumberland and Durham.
