                       CONDITIONS DICTATE LOW TOTALS

The pitch somewhat dictated the course of play being damp after a period of intense heat. Two batsman got their heads down and battled it out ,Old Grovians' Jones being much the most successful and he was declared Man Of the Match.

It was unfortunate that given the difficult conditions some of the umpiring was perhaps a little in the bowlers' favour as five lbws in the Old Roffensians' innings is rather against the statistical balance of probabilities and of course wiped out Roffensians reply.
